PARKING INFORMATION RW SCREW COMPLEX

Parents/Guardians/Coaches,

RW Screw Soccer Complex we will not permit any parking on the street behind the goals on Fields 1 & 2. This is the field side of the street only, the opposite side of the street parking is permitted. This is the side of the complex where our sign is. We have witnessed numerous instances of players/children almost getting hit by oncoming vehicles coming off of rte. 241, with it getting darker earlier and multiple games at the same time we need to keep this area clear for the safety of our children. Also cars are starting to ruin our grass and pull all the way out into the grass area. We have communicated with the City of Massillon and they are in support of this and will eventually be placing no parking signs on that side of the street in the near future. We have plenty of parking on site that is blocked off at the top of our complex, it is less than a 1 minute walk to our fields. There is also parking along the side of the complex on the road. Please relay this message to grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends etc.. that may be coming to watch your child play.

Notes:

  • No parking on the street behind Field 1 & 2 goals
  • All parking on the streets must be parallel and facing the correct direction in accordance with traffic laws
  • There is NO off street parking except for the parking lot at the top of the hill, this means cars/vehicles are not permitted to pull into the property at an angle, they must parallel park if parking on the street and face the correct direction.
  • No parking around/near fire hydrant
  • Parking on the side street of field #1 should not begin until after the fire hydrant

Volunteer Opportunities: We are a nonprofit organization, run by volunteers. WE NEED YOU to succeed! Below are some volunteer options for the season.

  • Head Coach-we cannot field teams if we do not have coaches. We will provide materials and training opportunities to help new coaches feel more comfortable in this role.

  • Assistant Coach-this is a great way to learn the game and support your child’s coach.

General Field Rules and Etiquette for All Levels:

  • Spectators should always sit/stand on the opposite side of the field as the players and never behind the goals.

  • No tobacco products of any kind (cigarettes, vaping, or chewing tobacco) should be used on the fields or anywhere near children.

  • No dogs are allowed on the fields with the exception of service dogs. Please see the ADA Requirements for service animals.

  • Abusive or obscene language directed at referees, coaches, or children will not be tolerated.

  • Absolutely NO WEAPONS of any kind, including but not limited to firearms and knives, are permitted. Violators of this rule will be asked to leave the premises and authorities will be called.

  • Spectators should not coach children from the sidelines and instead focus on providing positive reinforcement, so that only coaches are providing players with direction.

The focus of youth recreational soccer is to teach and develop fundamental skills while instilling a love of the game and providing a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and have fun. Scoring goals is fun and winning is even better, but we must ensure that fundamental development is not sacrificed for the sake of winning individual games. The league rules, format, and instruction are focused upon full player and team development and we ask that parents work with us to further our mission.
