Volunteer Opportunities: We are a nonprofit organization, run by volunteers. WE NEED YOU to succeed! Below are some volunteer options for the season.
-
Head Coach-we cannot field teams if we do not have coaches. We will provide materials and training opportunities to help new coaches feel more comfortable in this role.
-
Assistant Coach-this is a great way to learn the game and support your child’s coach.
General Field Rules and Etiquette for All Levels:
-
Spectators should always sit/stand on the opposite side of the field as the players and never behind the goals.
-
No tobacco products of any kind (cigarettes, vaping, or chewing tobacco) should be used on the fields or anywhere near children.
-
No dogs are allowed on the fields with the exception of service dogs. Please see the ADA Requirements for service animals.
-
Abusive or obscene language directed at referees, coaches, or children will not be tolerated.
-
Absolutely NO WEAPONS of any kind, including but not limited to firearms and knives, are permitted. Violators of this rule will be asked to leave the premises and authorities will be called.
-
Spectators should not coach children from the sidelines and instead focus on providing positive reinforcement, so that only coaches are providing players with direction.
The focus of youth recreational soccer is to teach and develop fundamental skills while instilling a love of the game and providing a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and have fun. Scoring goals is fun and winning is even better, but we must ensure that fundamental development is not sacrificed for the sake of winning individual games. The league rules, format, and instruction are focused upon full player and team development and we ask that parents work with us to further our mission.
